DJ's Texas Style BBQ

Overall: 4 sauces

With oh-so-tender meat that has plenty of flavor, DJ's takes the prize for best barbecue overall. Theirs has the best smoke flavor and the light, tomato-based sauce really complements the meat. Even the beans were good, with a home-cooked flavor.

The only problem is the seasonal hours (and as I mentioned in the fall, a lack of shaded seating is a bummer on a hot July day). But don't rule DJ's out in the wintertime - they cater year round.Eat Here: DJ's Texas Style BBQ, 1051 Main St., Lewiston
